Learning Targets
1. Identify the abiotic and biotic factors in an ecosystem. 2. Identify the different trophic levels in the ecosystem. 3. Use a food web to identify how the interspecific and intraspecific competition that exists, the flow of energy from sun to top level consumer, the inefficient flow of energy and how the amount of energy determine the amount of organisms available at each trophic level. 4. Ability to analyze the proximate and ultimate effects of an ecological disruption, which may lead you to identify keystone species, robust or fragile ecosystems. 5. Understand the cycling of the nutrients is different the the cycling of energy in a food web. 6. Determine how the carbon cycle is being disrupted and how that may lead to climate change. |
